The invisible child

**Today I found among my memories this writing, which reminded me of the lives of many girls and boys who have lived invisibly in their families.

A good story to reflect on and work with our inner child.

Autonomy

The family took a seat at the restaurant for dinner. The waitress arrived, took note of what the adults wanted and then turned to the seven-year-old boy:

"what are you going to have ?", she asked him.

The boy looked shyly around the table and said, "I'd like a hot dog."

Before the waitress had time to write it down, the mother intervened: "No hot dogs! Bring him a steak with mashed potatoes and carrots!".

The waitress pretended she hadn't heard her. "How do you want your hot dog: with ketchup or with mustard?" she asked the boy.

"With ketchup."

"I'll be back in a minute," said the waitress heading for the kitchen.

When the waitress had left, there was a few moments of astonished silence. Finally, the boy looked at everyone present and exclaimed: "What do you think?

Think I'm real !"
